KOKIA Discography

Kokia (コキア?) is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Tokyo. She is known mostly for her performances in video game and anime soundtracks; having appeared in eight different game/anime soundtracks to date. Kokia is also known for her vocal range, and ability to hold long-tone opera notes, having done so for 29 seconds during a television appearance. She is most well-known in Hong Kong and Taiwan for her song "Arigatou...", which achieved commercial success, and was covered by star Sammi Cheng. Her biggest hit in Japan is the single "The Power of Smile / Remember the Kiss", which reached number 15 on the Oricon charts. She studied opera at the Toho Gakuen School of Music.

Aqua Timez Discography

Aqua Timez is a Japanese pop band signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan.
The band formed in 2000 after two of the original members met on the internet and discovered that they attended the same university. At their formation with all their current members in 2003, the band's name was Aqua Times, the correct spelling of their current name. No major releases came from the band during this period. The band renamed themselves to Aqua Timez in 2005. Their first release under this name was Sora Ippai ni Kanaderu Inori, a mini-album which charted well on the Oricon.

In 2006, the group would go on to release Nanairo no Rankugaki, their second mini-album with seven songs. Their first single, Ketsui no Asa Ni, was then used as a song in the movie adaptation of Brave Story. Later in the same year, it was announced that they would provide the theme song to Bleach: Memories of Nobody, the movie version of the anime and manga series Bleach. [1] The song, Sen no Yoru wo Koete (千の夜をこえて; Passing Over a Thousand Nights?), entered the Oricon singles chart at number 5 and would go on to sell over 100,000 copies.

Monoral Discography

MONORAL is a rock duo from Japan consisting of vocalist Anis Shimada and bassist Ali Morizumi. They released their first indie mini-album, in stereo, in 2001 and a second one, ammonite, in 2004. In July 2005, they released their first full-length album, Petrol, and, in November of the same year, made their major debut with the single VISIONS IN MY HEAD under Hyde’s HAUNTED RECORDS (Ki/oon Sony Japan) label. Their second single, Tuesday, was released in May of 2007, followed by their second album, Turbulence, in July.

Anis, is half Japanese and half Moroccan and, in addition to speaking English and Japanese, speaks French and Arabic, which can be heard on Sugizo’s C:LEAR album and Fantastic Plastic Machine’s zoo. Ali is half Japanese and half American and is also fluent in English as well as Japanese. Anis has also sung for Belt and worked on the English translations for Hyde’s 666 album, on which you can hear Anis’ voice in the song titled Masquerade.
